A quarter century in Barpali
Dr. D. N. Mund opened the school in 2000 so that children in this part of western Odisha would not have to leave home for a serious English-medium education. The first class had eighteen students. The promise has not changed since: education within reach, held to a high standard.

Four houses, named for the Vedas
Every student belongs to one of four houses from their first day. They carry the names of the four Vedas — a small daily reminder of where the school is rooted.

UDAAN
Each year since 2014 the whole school — students, parents, and old students — puts on a fair and raises money for people nearby who need it.
In 2024 UDAAN built a library at the Bimla Orphanage, the first of a hundred community libraries we hope to leave behind. The same year, an old student of ours built UdaanPe, the fair's own way to pay.
